ICARDA, a regular contributor to past editions, will once again join global water and climate leaders at Cairo Water Week 2025. Held from 12 to 16 October 2025 at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in Cairo, Egypt, this year’s event will convene ministers, policymakers, and experts from around the world under the theme “Innovative Solutions for Climate Resilience and Water Sustainability.”
In its eighth edition, the event has established itself as a key regional hub for advancing dialogue and action on water and climate challenges. Hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation in collaboration with regional and international partners, CWW 2025 will serve as a strategic platform to align regional dialogue with upcoming 2026 global water milestones, namely the UN 2026 Water conference, G20 water and climate discussion, the Euro-Mediterranea/UfM Water Forum and the World Water Forum 2027.
Throughout the week, ICARDA's Delegation, led by Director General Aly Abousabaa, will actively contribute to high-level panels and lead technical sessions, showcasing cutting-edge innovations that address water scarcity, enhance climate adaptation, and build resilient food systems across dryland regions.
