The 7th Pan-African Conference on Agricultural Engineering

The 7th Pan-African Conference on Agricultural Engineering, organized by ANAFIDE and the Pan-African Society for Agricultural Engineering (AfroAgEng), will take place from October 22 to 24, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Fez, Morocco, under the theme: Water Management for Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture in Africa.
On October 22, 2025, the first plenary session will feature Dr. Mina Devkota, who will deliver a keynote speech on “Conservation Agriculture as a Climate-Smart Strategy to Improve Crop Productivity and Soil Health in Rainfed and Irrigated Drylands”.
On October 23, 2025, from 10:30 to 12:30, ICARDA will lead the Soil and Water Conservation sub-theme and convene a technical session titled “Use of Green Energy in Sustainable Agriculture Water Management in Africa”, chaired by Dr. Krishna Devkota. The session will highlight ICARDA’s efforts to leverage green energy to address climate change and explore the challenges of scaling the green transition.
Contributing to this technical session are Dr. Krishna Devkota, who will present on “ICARDA Innovations on Soil and Water Management for Resilient Drylands”, and Dr. Mohie El Din Omar, who will present on “Green Energy Generation and Water Rationalization at the Farm Level”.
